6 Tips for Green Cleaning in Your Home

Use eco-friendly cleaning products
Switch to natural, non-toxic cleaning products that are safe for you and the environment. Look for products made with plant-based ingredients and avoid harsh chemicals.

Here are a few of my favorite products:
Sal Suds
Castile Soap
Scrub Daddy Paste
Bar Keepers Friend

Make your own cleaning solutions
You can easily make your own cleaning solutions using ingredients such as vinegar, baking soda, and lemon essential oil. These natural ingredients are effective at cleaning and disinfecting surfaces without harming the environment.

Use reusable cleaning tools
Instead of using disposable cleaning wipes and paper towels, opt for reusable microfiber cloths and sponges (Scrub Mommy Sponges are my favorite!). These can be washed and reused multiple times, reducing waste.

Choose energy-efficient appliances
When it's time to replace your cleaning appliances, choose models that are energy-efficient. Look for the ENERGY STAR label, which indicates that the appliance meets energy efficiency guidelines.

Use cold water when washing clothes
Using cold water instead of hot when washing clothes can help reduce energy consumption and save money on your utility bills.

Don't overuse cleaning products
Using too much cleaning product can be wasteful and harmful to the environment. Follow the recommended usage instructions and avoid excessive use.
